Contract Operations & Maintenance

Sterling Energy’s mobilization experience includes the operation of 13 new plants through the commercial operations date.  In addition, Sterling currently provides full contract operations at one new cogeneration facility, provides O&M labor at another combustion turbine power plant, and manages a combined heat and power plant.

Mobilization and Operation of a 92 MW Cogeneration Plant in Ontario
Sterling Energy fully mobilized and currently operates the 92 MW East Windsor Cogeneration Centre in Windsor, Ontario.  The plant, which includes two GE LM6000s and two OTSGs, provides power to the Ontario grid and provides steam to the adjacent Ford power plant, which Sterling Energy has managed since 2007.

Cogeneration Plant Management in Canada
Sterling Energy manages the combined heat and power plant at Ford Motor Company’s Windsor, Ontario engine plant. Sterling developed a comprehensive energy and economic model of the facility that enabled Sterling to identify significant energy savings opportunities.  As a result, Ford saved more than $2 million in the program’s first year.

Contract Operations of a 20 MW Combined Cycle Facility
Sterling Energy has been providing operations and maintenance labor since 2002 to a 20 MW gas-fired combustion turbine cogeneration plant in the Midwest.
